Nick Krause: My ski career began at age 3- with my Mom, Dad and sister, Laura, we’d ski at other areas around the East and I quickly became enthralled with skiing the NASTAR gates. I moved on to the Wachusett Race Team where I began training 4 days a week–that shaped the person and skier I am now. Spending time at Wachusett-racing and freestyle-it was clear that I took my skiing to the next level.As a U-16, I once again moved up to the next level of competition and was recruited to Stratton Mountain School in VT. During my senior year at Stratton Mountain School, I was asked to join the US Development team. I obviously accepted the offer and have been skiing with the US Ski Team ever since. I have had two years on the USST D-Team, and 1 full season on the C-Team. I have been asked back to the C-Team this coming winter. I am proud of my accomplishments and my roots as a skier at Wachusett. While I now am able to ski all over the world, I always look forward to going back to Wachusett to ski with other WA-WA shredders. I also believe other all-around motivated skiers from Wachusett can do the same as me.
